Flash Designer   Back to top

A.S.K. Learning is looking for a creative and experienced Flash Designer to join our Sydney eLearning team. This is a permanent role that involves working as part of a highly innovative team, designing leading edge eLearning projects in Flash for delivery over the web. This includes coming up with creative concepts, layout designs, the creation of Flash-based user interfaces, interactive activities and games.

Your primary role:
  • Brainstorming with other team members to create concepts and metaphors for courses
  • Designing concepts, interfaces, and learning interactions
  • Using animation, illustrations or other media (audio, video, photography) to convey concepts clearly and creatively
  • Developing eLearning modules in flash from beginning to end

Requirements:
  • Solid design fundamentals
  • Concept, interface and interactive design skills
  • Animation, illustration or graphical design skills (all three skills are a plus but not necessary to be successful in this role)
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently deliver high quality work
  • Experience using the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, illustrator)
  • Good Flash skills including some basic knowledge of ActionScript

We are seeking an experienced learning design and development specialist for a short term contract role with the opportunity to extend.
 
In this role you will work closely with the business to identify key learning needs as well as manage the development and implementation of a successful learning program.
 
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Learning needs analysis – engaging with the business to identify learning needs and evaluating existing learning and development materials.
  • Instructional design – development of learning programs to fit the need using existing content using a blended learning approach.
  • Implementing the learning solutions with the business. Learning delivery may be required.
  • Learning evaluation using existing measures and processes.
 
To be successful in the role, you will have:
  • Minimum of 3 years learning design and development experience.
  • Proven experience in learning design.
  • Proven experience in conducting training needs analysis and designing program content.
  • The ability to consult effectively with the business and build strong, credible relationships.
  • Confident and articulate written and verbal communication skills.

Project Manager - Software Platform   Back to top

We require an outstanding Project Manager to join our Platforms Team. The team is responsible for designing, building and maintaining a content management system around learning systems.
 
You will have experience in the following areas:
 
  • Relationship Management – You will be in contact with your clients every day. These are highly consultative relationships that require nurturing. You will provide ongoing advice on leveraging their investment and proactively unearth opportunities to enhance the platform.
  • Expectations Management – Our approach emphasises flexibility in anticipation of rapidly changing needs. This can be a new experience for your clients, and your ability to set realistic expectations, communicate impact and manage change will play an even greater role in protecting the best interests of the client, the business and your team.
  • Project Management – The custom nature and pace of this work requires strong project planning, organisation and documentation skills. You will manage development, allocate resources, monitor scope variance, manage budgets and report financial data to the General Manager. Your interest in and ability to grasp technical details is essential. Experience working with a PM methodology (e.g. PMBOK, Prince2, PMP) is highly regarded.
  • Product life-cycle management – Once we have developed and implemented our products, the life-cycle continues into support and maintenance. You will be responsible for working with the client and support team to manage this relationship.
  • Pre-Sales Support. You will be expected to liaise with salespeople as they seek an understanding of the product, qualify opportunities, scope and price solutions and finalise agreements.
 
You will be reporting to the Head of the Platforms Team, but will enjoy a great deal of autonomy. Project Management experience is essential, in addition relevant experience with a similar product is valuable. If you have experience managing a SaaS product, that is a plus. We are looking for a long term relationship and want to see the right candidate drive their own career.
 
This is a full-time salaried position based in our North Sydney office.
