eLearning Design
When it comes to tying learning aims in with instructional design and
visual concepts, nobody does it better than us.
Over the years we’ve developed the six simple laws of eLearning design,
which we use to sense check client requirements against design ideas.
- Actions
speak louder than words – attention span and
interactivity are directly related (use questions and expect responses).
- Make it
personal – ownership results in greater acceptance
(personalise colours and themes).
- Users
are human too – set them goals (reward and recognition is
important).
- Great
design wins every time – don’t settle for e-boredom (design
conveys messages).
- A
picture tells a thousand stories – illustrate concepts and
create interactivity with the visuals (reduce text-heaviness).
- First
impressions count – captivate the user (you have just 30
seconds to grab them).
